After spending many hours working on your kit, we want to see your work! To upload pictures to the forum, follow these steps:

First, start a new discussion in the appropriate category, write your text then click on the words "Attach a File" to insert a picture from your computer. (*Remember to resize your pictures to 200K or less. For help on doing that, see the "How to Resize Pictures" thread in the Help section.)

A new box and button will open. Click on Browse to search for the picture you want to upload.

A box that says "Choose file to upload" will appear. Highlight the picture by clicking on it, then click open.

You will briefly see a box that says "uploading" which will be replaced by a small thumbnail of your picture. That means the picture has been uploaded to the server, but now needs to be placed within the body of your post. To do this, make sure there's a green check mark in the box next to the thumbnail then click "insert image".

You will see the code for the picture in the body of the post like this:

If you place your cursor immediately to the left of the < symbol and hit enter, all the code will move to the next line and keep your post left justified. Add any other images that you may want to include by repeating the steps above. Pictures can be moved around within the body of the text by highlighting and cutting the entire line of code then pasting it in the new location. It's also a good idea to leave a space in between each image to keep your pictures from running together making them easier to view:

When you're finshed, click "Post Discussion" and your message will be available for forum members to read:

Depending on the type of operating system and browser you're using, your post may have red x's instead of the pictures you posted:

Usually, this happens because of a glitch with the "Preview" feature. Even though you're seeing the red x's, everyone else is seeing the pictures. If that happens, you can try to click on the "Compatibilty View" button at the top of Internet Explorer:

If that doesn't work, log out of the forum completely; then log back in and the pictures will be visible.
The best solution is to avoid using "Preview".
