Here is a FREE , simple to use image resizing program for members who may need to use it when posting their pictures.

Ideally the file size of the image should be around 150k and no bigger than 200k.
Posting images that are larger than this causes problems for members when viewing your work.

Generally the file size can be easily reduced by reducing the image size..... Here is how...

Download and install the following FREE program using the onscreen directions, the download should begin automatically.

Once the program is installed you can begin.

Open the program and select one of your large image files by using the browser on the screen left.

Open the picture with a double click.

Open the "Image" menu at the top and select "Resize" from the menu.

An options box will appear on the screen.

Ensure that the "Keep Ratio" box is checked.

You can now reduce the image size easily. A good image size for the forum display screen is a width of 900.

Change the image width to 900. The hieght will change automatically and keep the image in proportion.

Click OK and the image will resize.

Go to the file menu and either 'save' the file as the same name overwriting the original, or, 'save as' a different name.

Changing an original image from 3800 pixels wide to 900 wide reduced the file size from 2.1mb to just 140k, a perfect size for posting on the forum.
