The truck repair side of the diorama with the stacks of tires, junk, and overgrown weeds. The false front design combined with the color signs defines a great age relationship between the two joined structures!
The track side of the busy loading dock. The laser cut windows are very versatile allowing you to determine the position of the lower sash. Notice in the pictures the varying amount I modeled mine open or closed.
The second story overhang is dramatic and provides for an interesting view here. Broken windows and fading paint all help age the structure but it is not severe, just enough to give it some character and keep it from looking homogenous and dull!
The staining and weathering techniques exploit the wood and allow for this kind of detail, rivaled only by board on board construction.
