Kit 3000F - Foss' Landing

Antonio Foss came to a new land with great expectations
and a grand vision. . .

When A. Foss started his tiny fishermen’s supply company he never dreamed he would one day own the largest fleet of tugs and barges on the sound! “Only in America” he could be heard muttering in his thick accent from time to time. What started as a tiny rowboat rental service in the late 19th Century quickly grew to include gas and steam powered tugs of every description. With several offices up and down the coast, Antonio’s children run the business now and have preserved the good family name by upgrading the fleet to ultra modern standards.

Laser Made kits feature laser cut walls, windows, window glazing, shingles, and the two docks. As you view the photo album keep in mind the two main structures are not board on board but rather laser cut siding. We describe the simple techniques used to create the incredible realism and aging process of the siding supplemented with plenty of photographs.
All of the details pictured are included except for the scenery and  vehicles. Each kit includes a beautiful assortment of our resin and metal castings including dozens of new pieces made just for Foss’ Landing. The “Live Bait” cases (with color decals and open lids), worm bins, clam and oyster crates (with decals), junk piles, workbenches, junked shelves, the freight doors, rowboats, oars, etc. . .
The prominent signing is made with our own custom dry transfer decals. These add the incredible character shown in the many photographs and are very easy to apply and weather. New simple techniques for coloring and weathering the laser cut shingles produce what we think are the most realistic wooden shingled roofs ever! Our comprehensive instructions emphasize weathering, detailing, and scenery construction techniques. Clear, accurate templates, SierraWest color signs, doweling for the pilings, “fishing net”, rope, and tarpaper is also enclosed.

The pair of HO scale fishing boats measure about 8.5 inches long each.

(So you can dock these beauties properly!)

Kit 503 - the Jewel

Kit 504 - the Addison

The Addison
$67.50 each plus shipping

The kits are very simple to build and weather. The hull has all the decking and bulkhead detail cast in place. The waterline and sheerline have been created for you, no tedious shaping of a hull former or laminating stripwood to the hull and deck. Painting and weathering is fast and easy with our clean, flawless resin castings. They are not fragile like plaster hulls! The cabin is built with stripwood over a template with laser cut windows and doors. The cabin roof is added and then detailed with our own castings. Then the mast and boom are added and rigged with easy to follow directions and templates. Painting and weathering instructions are included as well.

Here are a few from Scott Kinzey.
Terrific work with an original and fresh feel.
I enjoy seeing the different ways the same kit
can be translated by truly talented modelers.
Scott has had his work published in Finescale Railroader.
