When Tom Shelby sold his tiny Shelby's Boats and Baits to the BlueSky Company, the whole county rejoiced! Everyone thought he would retire and that would be the end of all that fishy business. Well Tom tried to leave all the glamour behind but just couldn't. He moved across the tracks and down by the harbor eventually building his new marine facility, bigger and smellier than ever! That was nearly fifty years ago. Tom's second cousin Shep has taken over the family business and is trying to clean up the place. Shep Shelby still repairs the fishing vessels in need, and will still rent you a boat and sell you some bait if you're so inclined. But no matter how hard he tries, that smell lingers!

Shelby’s Marine Features

The Large Main Wharf has a Trestle Approach with Track Leading into the Front of the Main Building. The Weathered White Building has a Completely Detailed Interior. Its First Floor is Board by Board over Scale Lumber Framing, while the Second Floor is Board by Board over Laser Cut Chipboard. The Roof and Second Floor are also Laser Cut. As with all SierraWest Kits, the Details Make the Scene! This Building is Loaded. Laser Cut Windows with Positionable Lower Sash, Cast Stone Retaining Wall, Exterior Plumbing, and the Usual Huge Assortment of Original Handcrafted Resin and Metal Detail Castings.

Off to the Side is a Red and White Two Story Bait and Tackle Shop with a very Detailed Wharf. The Building is Laser Cut Clapboard Siding, the Wharf is Built Board by Board. Castings to Make the Wharf Kinda Smelly Include Lots of Bins of Yesterdays Fish! Netting and Dry Transfer Decals will Bring the Bait and Tackle Shop Area to Life.

A Marine Railway is included with Engine Boat Hoist Shed, Boiler, and a Concrete Foundation. A 33 Foot Fishing Boat Under Repair sits in its own Carrier. A Traveling Crane Provides the Means to Move Heavy Machinery and Lumber.
