The old barn has stood the test of time!
|
|||||||||
Farmers settled the land and cleared the very first trees allowing sunlight to reach the fertile soil. They soon however realized there was money in the tall stands
of timber. Years later all that remained of the old barn was the stone wall when the Deer Creek Land and Timber Co. converted it into their Machine Shop. Massive as the wall is, it would not surprise company officials if it stood another hundred and fifty years! But by then all the timber will be gone and the farmers will have returned to the land. |
